On 21 January the EU Monitoring Mission, together with UN Women, EUSR, OSCE and UNRGID, organised a meeting to inform civil society actors on the functioning, developments and issues of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms and the Geneva International Discussions. Women’s NGOs working on conflict management and confidence building were invited to the meeting.
The information sharing meeting aimed at increasing the knowledge and capacity of women’s organisations to advocate for inclusion of conflict related gender specific concerns in the right forums; increasing civil society awareness on the issues addressed in the framework of the Geneva process.
