Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalecz met with Head of EUMM Andrzej Tyszkiewicz on 11 April.
Minister Pelczynska-Nalecz showed great interest in freedom of movement issues along the Administrative Boundary Line with break-away Abkhazia and South Ossetia. She also enquired about the security situation in the Gali region.
Having been on patrol with EUMM’s monitors in the area around Zugdidi a year ago, Ms Pelczynska-Nalecz asked very precise questions about the Mission’s latest operational developments.
Ambassador Tyszkiewicz drew her attention to current fencing activities along the Administrative Boundary Lines with South Ossetia and provided her with an overview of the Mission’s future challenges.
Ms Pelczynska-Nalecz met with the Georgian State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration, Alexi Petriashvili, yesterday. Besides bilateral issues, they discussed EU-Georgia relations ahead of the 3rd Eastern Partnership Summit which is to take place in November in Vilnius.
