On 28 October EUMM HQ received a visit of the Chief of Defence of Poland, General
Mieczyslaw
Cieniuch. After welcome by the Head of Mission, the General and his accompanying military staff were provided with the briefing on the mandate and activities of the Mission, as well as on the major challenges EUMM is facing on the ground. Mr.
Tyszkiewicz expressed his appreciation for the considerable Polish contribution to the Mission in terms of the seconded staff at the same time calling for the possibility of increase the number of secondees.
