The EU Monitoring Mission welcomes the beginning of a survey by an international NGO south of the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) to South Ossetia, to assess the possible need for demining activities.
Participants were informed about the commencement of works at the last Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) meeting held in Ergneti on 30 July. Since the survey of the area started last week, EUMM has been using the Hotline to pass on information between the IPRM participants about the exact locations of the on-going activities, in on order to ensure the smooth process of the work.
