On 27 November, the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM), Erik Høeg, met the Political Directors of the Ministries for Foreign Affairs of the Visegrád countries, also known as V4, during their visit to Georgia.
Discussions touched upon the Mission’s role in the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) meetings and conflict-related developments in Georgia.
The EUMM Head of Mission thanked the Political Directors from Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia for their strong support to the Mission, not least by seconding committed monitors and experts to EUMM Georgia.
Background
All V4 countries are important contributors to EUMM Georgia. At present a total of 45 nationals from Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia work in the Mission.
