On 19 September 2014 the 48th meeting under the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) took place in Ergneti, co-facilitated by Toivo Klaar, the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM), and Ambassador Angelo Gnaedinger, the Special Representative of the Swiss OSCE Chairmanship for the South Caucasus.
In a constructive atmosphere participants discussed several security-related issues and exchanged relevant information. Effects of the installation of fences on local communities residing on both sides of the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) were raised. As the school year has just started, participants addressed the issue of the transportation of children on their way to school. The discussion also focused on the issue of livestock crossing the ABL.
The next IPRM meeting will take place on 21 October.
