The Head of Mission for the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia, Erik Høeg, met with the Chairperson of the Defence and Security Committee, on 30 January 2018.
Mr. Høeg updated Mr. Sesiashvili on the role and priorities of the Mission and expressed his appreciation for the functional cooperation with Georgian security actors, and their full compliance with the cease-fire agreement and subsequent arrangements.
Mr. Sesiashvili expressed his gratitude to Mr. Høeg for the EU Monitoring Mission being the only international presence on the ground. The Chairman informed Mr. Høeg about priorities and topics on the agenda of the Committee during the Spring session.
